subtle and brilliant work on Skint and Warp, Req has been
stockpiling new tracks, collaborating with other musicians
and producing more gorgeous pieces of artwork. If you've got
hold of earlier Req releases you'll almost certainly be hooked
on his raw, dreamy instrumental sound where bombastic snippets
of Wagner collide with screeching railway carriage wheels
and degraded Harlem voices, as an hors d’oeuvre for the
white-noise beats, that while slow and heavy, always more
elegant than elephantine.
